The Lake District from Manchester
The first leg of your journey sees you venture to northern England's World Heirtage Site and National Park, the Lake District.
Travelling from Manchester you will make your way to Windermere where you will embark on a tour which gives you a chance to see the amazing landscape associated with this stunning corner of England.
You will travel through the stunning landscapes which inspired many authors poets and artists, visit the charming medieval village of Hawkshead and take in the beautiful central Lakes from the reknowned beauty spot, Tarn Hows.
The High Adventure
The tour is a chance to see the real Lake District.
Follow a route originally pioneered by the Romans and travel over the Lake District’s famous mountain passes; Hardknott and Wrynose, which are some of the steepest in Great Britain.
During your day you will have time to enjoy a narrow gauge heritage train ride, see England’s deepest lake and visit the grounds of the 14th Century Muncaster Castle.
Roman Britain & Hadrian's Wall
This tour journeys along segments of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Hadrian’s Wall tour travels out of the Lake District for the day and up to the Scottish Borders. The main focus of the day is the ‘Wall’ which we travel along exploring its remains of towers and landmarks.
During your day you will have time to enjoy the Roman Army Museum, exploring the history of the Romans and learning what it was like to work on the ‘Wall’.
A new addition to the tour is Vindolanda, a Roman settlementone of Europe's largest excavation sites and is still being worked on today.
Six Lakes in a Morning
Our brilliant morning tour of the Lakes will leave you in awe.
The tour focuses on the Northern side of the Lake District and is ideal for those who want to enjoy the spectacular scenery the National Park has to offer.
On the tour you will take in six lakes, including Windermere, Brotherswater, Ullswater, Thirlmere, Grasmere Lake and Rydal Water.
