The Ten Lakes:
The Lake District is renowned for being the “most beautiful corner of England” and the Ten Lakes full day tour introduces you to just that.
Marvel at the magnificent scenery of the Lakeland fells, valleys and lakes from the south to the north. The tour includes a lake cruise, a visit to the 4,000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle set high on the fells, and time in a beautiful Lakeland Village for lunch.
You will travel over high passes, through beautiful valleys, see waterfalls and traditional Lakeland villages. There will be plenty of stops to admire the views and take photographs.

The tour focuses around the Western Lake District travelling over the Lake District’s famous mountain passes; Hardknott and Wrynose, which are some of the steepest in Great Britain.
During your day you will have time to enjoy a narrow gauge heritage train ride, see England’s deepest lake and visit the grounds of the 14th Century Muncaster Castle.
Returning to your hotel or B&B you will have the evening to explore your surroundings further, wander into Windermere and Bowness to eat in some of the best restaurants in the Lake District, visit traditional Lakeland pubs, or meander along the Lake front.
Arrive in the Lake District and be transfered to your chose accommodation type in comfort and style with Mountain Goat, where you can get to grips with your surrounding and explore the local area.
Your full day tour will begin from your accommodation where you will join our Ten Lakes Spectacular, the most popular Mountain Goat tour.
On your 2nd day, you will join the High Aventure Tour. Discover the beautiful sights of the Western Lake District on this adventurous full-day tour. This tour will take you off the beaten track as you discover the magnificent scenery of the Lake District with its beautiful mountains and dramatic lakes.
Make your way over the Wrynose and Hardknott passes, the steepest passes in England we drive past the extraordinary remains of Hardknott Roman Fort, 1,000 feet up on the fells.
Embark on the famous miniature Ravenglass and Eskdale railway before heading to a traditional country inn, where you may purchase lunch if you require. In the afternoon you will drive onward to “Britain’s Favourite View” at Wastwater, England’s deepest and most dramatic lake.
Your next destination is the splendid 14th Century Muncaster Castle, where you can explore its internationally acclaimed gardens and World Owl Trust. The beautiful scenery of the Coniston Fells and Coniston Water bring an end to this classic tour of the Lake District.
On your final morning you will be transfered to the station to continue your journey or head home.
Bring everything you could possibly need for a 3-night stay in the Lake District, we recommend some sturdy shoes or boots and a light rain jacket.
Children under 5 are not permitted on board our tours.
Your luggage will be safely stowed on board your trasfer vehicle and left wth you at your chosen accomodation.
