Travelling from Manchester you will make your way to Windermere where you will embark on a tour which gives you a chance to see the amazing landscape associated with this stunning corner of England.
You will head to Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top Farm, where she wrote many of her famous children’s stories in this 17th century cottage, visit the charming medieval village of Hawkshead and take in the beautiful central Lakes from the reknowned beauty spot, Tarn Hows.
The High Adventure:
The tour is a chance to see the real Lake District.
Follow a route originally pioneered by the Romans and travel over the Lake District’s famous mountain passes; Hardknott and Wrynose, which are some of the steepest in Great Britain.
During your day you will have time to enjoy a narrow gauge heritage train ride, see England’s deepest lake and visit the grounds of the 14th Century Muncaster Castle.
