Your tour at a glance

This tour gives you a day in the Lake District National Park, from Chester. It’s an ideal way to see amazing landscape associated with this stunning National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Leaving Chester, the tour heads North to the Lake District via the M6 Motorway, in approximately two hours you will arrive in the Lake District.  

As you start your Lake District tour, you will visit the medieval village of Hawkshead, famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. 

You will see incredible scenery as you venture into the heart of the Lake District from Hawkshead, with plenty of photo stops along the way.

Your Lake District day tour would also not be complete without a cruise on one of the famous lakes. You can sit back and enjoy the unrivalled views of the lake and the fell ranges beyond!

As your Lake District tour comes to an end, we will then continue our journey back to Chester.

Visit the medieval village of Hawkshead, famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. You will have time here to explore the cobbled alleys and get something to eat, from shops to cafe's, galleries and so much more. 

It's a beautiful village and a highlight of the tour. William Wordsworth's old Grammar School can also be found here, along with St Michael and All Angels Church which overlooks the village of Hawkshead.

Onwards then, through the heart of the Lake District where you will catch glimpses of the incredible vistas the national park is known for!

You will also visit the incredible Langdale Valley, where the majestic peaks tower above you, rugged and weathered, this part of the Lake District is renowned for its incredible landscapes. It's a place you will never forget.

This tour also includes a cruise on one of our famous Lakes. Sit back and relax as you gently glide along the glistening water and appreciate the natural beauty of Lakeland.

As your Lake District tour comes to an end, we will then continue our journey back to Chester.
