Winter 2019 - 04/11/19 - 14/02/20

Following a similar route to our summer tour you will first take to the water on a lake cruise along the Lake District's largest lake, Windermere. You will have the chance to view the incredible scenery from one of Windermere Lake Cruises' ferries as it shuttles you towards the northern end of Windermere.

You will then head into the heart of the Lakes, through valleys where majestic fells stand stoically against the elements. Here you will have a chance to explore the incredibly beautiful landscapes which inspired Miss Potter's work and her love for Lakeland.

As you travel through this incredible national park there will be plenty of stops, where you will find yourselves surrounded an expanse of beautiful scenery, whether you stop at a small tarn nestled high in the mountains, or on the bank of a meandering river you will be treated to some beautiful views.

Onwards to the medieval village of Hawkshead. During the winter this quaint Lakeland village is a tranquil paradise, filled with exciting shops and charming buildings. Venture through the streets for a bite to eat with the air filled with the soft scent of wood smoke from the traditional Pub's log fires.

At the end of the tour you will enjoy a cream tea in a traditional country house hotel where you can relax in the lounge before returning you Oxenholme for your return train.
