Mountain Goat and Windermere Christmas Celebration donate grotto gifts to Windermere Food Bank, based in the Windermere Methodist Church

A very merry Christmas to you all, to celebrate this wonderful time of year Mountain Goat and Windermere Christmas Celebration have teamed up to help the local community provide presents for children around Windermere.

This year's Christmas Celebration was a huge success, with visitors and locals descending on the town to enjoy a weekend of festive fun.

The Santa's Grotto attraction which put on by staff at Mountain Goat in the company's office space on Victoria Street proved hugely successful as children went to visit Santa Claus and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

Each child was given an early present which were gleefully taken, but there was plenty left so this year Mountain goat has decided to keep the Christmas spirit close to home and donate them all to the Windermere Food Bank, based in the Methodist Church on College Road.

Kate Barton, organiser of the Windermere Christmas Celebration, said: "Our event is supported by the wonderful community we have in Windermere, we simply wouldn't be able to put the event on without the hard work of incredible, local people.

"That's why this year we wanted to give something back to the community and decided that all presents from our Santa's Grotto will be donated to the Windermere Food Bank in the Methodist Church."

Locals who need to can take a present and food for themselves and their families over the Christmas Period and there will be someone to have a chat to at the Methodist Church if needed.

We hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
