With the winter season upon us Mountain Goat's scheduled tour timetable has changed - don't worry, we still run our tours daily.

As the temperatures drop and the leaves fall off the trees the Lake District takes on a peaceful atmosphere.

Mist clings to the tops of the Lakes as the early morning sun hits the glass like water and many attractions close their doors and prepare for a lull in visitors.

Mountain Goat is one of the few attractions around the Lake District which operates all year round, but as the days grow darker and the weather colder our scheduled tour timetable changes.

From November 4th 2019 until March 27th 2020 our winter timetable is in effect, with daily tours of the Lake District running from Windermere and two tours running out of York. Tours from the North West cities remain unchanged and are running on our summer 2019 timetable.

Join the Winter Ten Lakes Spectacular or Winter Beatrix Potter's Favourite Countryside Tour from the southern Lake District and explore the beautiful landscapes and quaint villages of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Whether you travel north to visit viewpoints or explore the hidden gems of the central Lakes we're sure you'll find something you love.

In York, our most popular tours run throughout the winter months, both our Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors and Whitby continue their journey, sunshine or snow.

Explore the Yorkshire Dales and visit notable landmarks such as Aysgarth Falls and visit the Wensleydale Creamery, where you can sample a delightful selection of cheeses.

During the winter months you may also be treated to a dusting of snow, nestled gently on top of the stunning landscapes which turns this already incredible national park into a winter wonderland.
