Light up the Lake District this bank holiday weekend
The Lakeland Festival of Light is returning to the northern Lakes this coming May bank holiday and will see walkers trek the incredible Catbells, outside of Keswick, to raise money for the Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs.
Take up your torch and traverse the spine of Catbells alongside hundreds of others as a winding line is lit up from base to sumit.
Organised by Lakeland Mountain Guides, the walk is easy for people of all abilities and simply requires a donation to join, the event's website has more details.
All donations are sent directly to the chosen charity and so far the team have raised over £40,000 for three different organisations.
The team also organise the event, Striding Edge by Torchlight, which sees walkers take on the adventurous challenge of tackling Helvelyn's well known Striding Edge in the dark.
