Due to major disruptions with the Lakes Line between Oxenholme & Windermere Mountain Goat are putting on a scheduled bus service to ensure visitors arrive and depart with ease & comfort.
Mountain Goat Tours has launched the free service as of Tuesday the 5th of June, in response to the ongoing disruption to train services which is affecting visitors travelling to and from the Lake District World Heritage Site.
The service applies to anyone who pre-books a Mountain Goat Tour during their stay in Cumbria between now and Sunday 17 June. Passengers will travel in one of the company’s thirty-strong fleet of luxury mini-coaches.
Operations Director, Robin Tyson, says, “As a business which has actively promoted and flown the flag for the Lake District internationally for more than 40 years, we feel we should try to our best to assist our customers and minimise the disruption and inconvenience being caused by the lack of train services."
“Our main aim is that people arrive and leave with the right impression of our area, and that they experience our warm Cumbrian hospitality when travelling here. We really want to send out a message that the Lake District is open for business and you can get here easily.”
