Established in 1972 Mountain Goat provide transport services guided tours of North England, North Wales & Scotland.
Mountain Goat tours explore magnificent scenery, traditional country villages and heritage locations. Escorted by a local driver guide guests will make the most of their time in the UK. With over 30 vehicles, including luxury 6 seater mecedes and 16 seated mini-coaches (Mecedes Sprinters). Mountain Goat cater for FITs and groups of any size.
Guided tours are available for individuals or groups. We operate day tours and overnight packages from Windermere, Manchester, Liverpool, York and Chester.
Private tours can cover all the UK with a designated private hire booking team to take care of all your needs. Meet & greet airport transfers are also available from any location.
Packages for larger groups include excursions off the beaten track. National Parks feature heavily in the routes, these include The Lake District, Snowdonia, Yorkshire Dales, The Peak District and the North York Moors. Our small buses can explore areas larger coaches cannot.

Scheduled Tours for individuals
Tours have fixed departures from Windermere, Keswick, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester & York. Transport by train to join a tour can also be arranged from Edinburgh, Birmingham, Glasgow or Manchester.
Destinations we tour include The Lake District National park, Hadrian’s Wall, The Yorkshire Dales, The North York Moors, Snowdonia, Wales & The Peak District.
In small groups journey through lovely scenery with a friendly driver guide brimming with knowledge of the National Parks and historic locations.
Multiday, overnight packages are also available (See below).

Any scheduled tour can be upgraded to a private tour in a 6 or 16 seat vehicle.

Multiday Tours for Individuals
We combine our scheduled day tours with accommodation and train station transfers. In the Lake District we work with 4* traditional country house hotels and local guest houses. We also offer multi-day packages in York and coming soon are packages staying in Manchester & Liverpool.

Multiday Terms & Conditions
Bespoke Private Hire
Mountain Goat’s private hire services can be anything from a 2-hour excursion into the Mountains, a 5-day tour from London, or anything in between.
Bespoke Large Group Services
For large groups we offer the ability to travel up into the mountains where large coaches can’t drive. Away from the crowd’s passengers experience the less seen beauty of these National parks. Parking need not be a problem as we pick up from anywhere.
Bespoke Small Group Tours
Our experienced team create special interest holidays for various tour operators. Examples include 10 days touring Scotland and Northern England, walking holidays and history focused itineraries. Hotels, food and drink can all be arranged. Our development team visit all locations and hotels to ensure they meet the right criteria.
Bespoke Tours and Services for FITs
Our luxury 6/7 seat Mercedes combined with our profession driver guides are a perfect, relaxing way to travel in the UK. The driver guides have such passion for what they do and go above a beyond to look after their passengers. Prior to arrival you the agent have a member of the team assigned to help you plan and book. They will do all they can to ensure all goes smoothly and they are on hand to assist wherever needed.
Airport Transfers are also available.
Hill Top Shuttles
Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top House is a popular location for groups but not easily accessible by coach. Mountain Goat provide a simple service whereby groups are shuttled to Hill Top from Hawkshead
in our smaller 16 seat Mercedes Sprinters.
