Mountain Goat provide complimentary pick up from hotels/guesthouses in the Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside area and from Windermere station so you can join a tour on the same day as your arrival in the Lake District. Kendal and Grasmere pickups are subject to demand. We also pick up from Keswick on a Friday (subject to demand) for The High Adventure tour.

Why not "Go Green" and take the train instead! The Lake District couldn't be any easier to reach whichever type of transport you choose but to avoid losing out on those limited car parking spaces and more importantly to help the environment taking the train is the best option!

Virgin Trains operate a direct service from London Euston to Oxenholme Station and only takes just under 3 hours. Oxenholme is a small rural station with no cafe or food facilities and it is not in the Lake District National Park. To continue to Windermere by train change at Oxenholme for a 20 minute journey and we can meet you at Windermere Station for your chosen tour. PLEASE NOTE: if the train is delayed we are unable to wait for more than 10 minutes as we can't delay further pickups and the tour itinerary.
