of beautiful grounds and was once owned by one
of Lakeland's most famous inhabitants - Beatrix
Potter. We are sure that you will find the accommodation

We collect you from Oxenholme Rail or Windermere Rail or Coach stop and transfer you to the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel.

A full day, starting with
a short trip into the Lyth Valley and over
Gummers Howe to Holker Hall. We stay at Holker
until after lunch and then leave for a short
visit to the monastic village of
Cartmel. We continue on through Grange over Sands for our afternoon visit to
Levens Hall with its ancient topiary garden.

Today we visit Holehird
Gardens, home of the Lakeland Horticultural
Society, for a guided visit. Then on to a private
garden in Troutbeck, before calling at Brockhole,
(the National Park Centre) for lunch. In the
afternoon we visit Rydal Mount and have a conducted
tour of Wordsworth’s house and garden,
before a stop in Grasmere.

Our tour today starts with
a drive over the Kirkstone Pass via the village
of Troutbeck to Glenridding. Here we board
the steamer for a cruise on Ullswater to Howtown.
We visit the two churches in Martindale before
making our way to Dalemain, the home of the
Hasell family, famous for its gardens. After
lunch at Dalemain we drive through Dacre and
on to Caldbeck for a visit to a private garden
and coffee in the village.

The spectacular crossing
of the passes, Wrynose and Hardknott, to Eskdale,
Wasdale and a visit to the famous gardens at
Muncaster Castle before making our way back
to Windermere.
