Hotel Information
Palace Hotel, Inverness. A very friendly hotel,
enjoyed by our customers in 2005, with good accommodation,
public rooms and food. Only a five minute walk
into town, with views across the river.
Alexandria Hotel, Fort William. Situated
only a short walk from the main shopping street,
we like this hotel and have used it in the past.
The food is very good as are the bedrooms and
public rooms.

Our experienced driver/guide for the duration
of your holiday. Full sightseeing programme. Eight
nights dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.

You may, if you wish, stay at the Lindeth Howe
Hotel in
Bowness on Windermere the night before the holiday
and
travel north with the Goat to Inverness and do
the reverse at
the end of the holiday. We can quote you for this
option,
please contact us.
Wednesday
We meet you in the afternoon from the rail station
or coach stop or airport in Inverness and transfer you to
our hotel for the next three nights. In the evening
before dinner we meet for a complimentary drink
in order that you can meet your fellow guests
and get to know each other.
Thursday
Leaving the hotel at about 9:30 am we head
south along Loch Ness to Urquart Castle for morning
coffee, a visit to the castle, and a little bit
of Nessie spotting from the castle grounds. We
then make our way through Drumnadrochit to Cannich
and Loch Mullardoch. After lunch we explore Glen
Affric and Loch Affric, one of Scotlands best
beauty spots. Our journey back to Inverness is
through Strathglass away from the main roads.
Friday
Today is real North West Scotland country
as we do a circular tour of Wester Ross visiting
the Corrieshalloch Gorge, Dundonell, Gruinard
Bay, Aultbea and Loch Ewe. We have time at Inverewe
Gardens, a sub tropical paradise alongside the
loch. On our way back to Inverness we pass along
Loch Maree and Kinlochewe.
Saturday
We are leaving Inverness today for Fort William
and we drive down the quiet side of Loch Ness
on its eastern side. Lunch is at Fort Augustus
followed by a short cruise. We continue our journey
past Loch Oich and Loch Lochy with a tea stop
at Spean Bridge. We arrive in Fort William about
5:00pm.
Sunday
After four days of travel and sightseeing, today is a free day for you to relax, and explore Fort William. Your Driver/Guide will make suggestions of things and places to visit both in and around Fort William. Before dinner we meet up for an aperitif courtesy of the Goat.
Monday
The Point of Ardnamurchan is our destination today. We cross Loch Linnie on the Corran Ferry and make our way down through Stontian, Salen and Glenbarrowdale to the lighthouse at the point further west than Dublin!. We lunch at Kilchoan and our return journey to Fort William is via Arahacle, Glen Uig and the road to Glenfinnan where a stop is made.
Tuesday
A train journey today from Fort William to
Mallaig, the road to the isles. On arrival at
Mallaig we go on a cruise of Loch Nevis. On returning
to Mallaig we have time for a wander around this
busy fishing and ferry port before driving back
to Fort William through Arisaig.
Wednesday
Today we head for Oban by the coast road with
spectacular views across to Morven and the Isle
of Mull. Besides having a relaxing day in the
town and port, there will be the opportunity of
a cruise down the Sound of Kerrera. Our return
to Fort William will be by 5:30pm.
Thursday
Departure day is upon us and we transfer you
to the rail station or coach stopin Fort William or Glasgow Airport for your homeward
journey.
