Hotel Information
Lindeth Howe is a tranquil retreat set in six acres
of beautiful grounds and was once owned by one
of Lakeland's most famous inhabitants - Beatrix
Potter. We are sure that you will find the accommodation
comfortable and the food to your taste. Views
over the lake and to the fells are spectacular
whatever time of year.

Lindeth Howe is situated on Longtail Hill, one mile south of Bowness on Windermere.

We collect you from Oxenholme
or Windermere Railway station or Windermere
Coach Stop and transfer you to your hotel. There
will be a drinks party before dinner.

Today we tour the Northern Lakes, finding autumn colours at Thirlmere, Borrowdale and Derwentwater. We cruise on Derwentwater, take in the panorama from Surprise View and explore Buttermereand Crummock Water.

| Wednesday |
A full day tour exploring the Ullswater area, Patterdale and Martindale. A cruise on Ullswater is followed by an afternoon tour through the Lowther Valley to Haweswater.

| Thursday |
A spectacular autumn day in the mountains going over the high passes to Eskdale, Ravenglass and Muncaster Castle Gardens.

| Friday |
Today we travel through the Southern Lakes, around Gummer's How for views to the North, then to the Coniston area, with a sail on the lake and over to Grasmere for lunch. The afternoon tour takes us over Matterdale to Dacre, famous for it's church and bears, and alongside Ullswater we return to Windermere via Aira Force.
