Established in 1972, operating a single bus service over Kirkstone Pass, Mountain Goat (incorporating Park Tours & Travel) today operate a whole range of holidays, tours and services. Offering a variety of full-day and half-day guided mini-coach tours this is the ideal way to explore the spectacular scenery of the Lake District. Tours operate daily throughout the year and include lake cruises, steam train journeys and cultural, historic and literary attractions. With frequent stops for photographs and short walks, an informative commentary and complimentary hotel pick-up service, guests can sit back and relax and enjoy some of the most stunning scenery in the UK.
In addition Mountain Goat also operates two local bus services; hop on and off the Windermere-Bowness Shuttle service or the Windermere Cross Lakes Shuttle to Hilltop, Hawkshead, Grizedale and Coniston. Mountain Goat can also provide private transportation from chauffeur services, airport transfers, extended tours throughout the UK and a wide range of group services including guided walks and bespoke personalised tours.
We only operate vehicles with a maximum of 16 seats which allow us to go 'off
the beaten track' and visit those special places not accessible by large coaches
and buses. All our Mini-coaches have large panoramic windows, comfortable seats
with headrests and seatbelts. A PA system is installed so you will be able
to hear a full tour commentary as you travel. However, we are able to arrange
larger vehicles as and when required. Our Operator Licence allows us to travel abroad so Europe is also clearly in our sights. Our wide range of services start from basic transportation through to fully inclusive and arranged holiday packages including guides, walks, accommodation, visits and transport.
